Honestly Healthy at Beach Blanket Babylon

Yesterday I was lucky enough to be given the opportunity to kick some serious butt Pilates style at an event run by the amazing Natasha Corrett of Honestly Healthy. Taking place in the gorgeous surroundings of Beach Blanket Babylon in Shoreditch myself and fellow Bootcamp Pilates Instructor Mr Nick Walker were given free reign to introduce the attendees to our concept of HIIP (thats High Intensity Interval Pilates don’t you know!!)

Those lucky enough to nab a spot for the day were treated to a delicious healthy brunch from Natasha’s cook book, all based on the principles of alkaline eating.

But first they needed to get through an intense hour long workout Bootcamp Style!!

Yummy treats to keep everyone hydrated!! (try the chocolate one its delicious!!)

Check out our minimalist home for the day!

A big space and pillars just begs for handstands!! (I may have been caught by a quizzical waiter on his way to the staff room!!)

We divided the class off into High Intensity sections (taken by bad Cop Nick) along side more traditional mat based Pilates exercises to fire up the core, waist and glutes to really help everyone feel the burn!!

Check out my favourite feedback of the day –

“your so little and smiley I was looking forward to your section for a rest but then you started and I realised your mean!!!”

Little side plank variation!!

Nick doing his thing!

For some of those who were expecting a relaxing stretch and a little breathing on the mat they were in for a shock!

Post workout instructor sweaty selfie!!!

Following out HIIP session we were all treated to a delicious brunch down stairs in the main restaurant along with goodie bags and tasty cold press juices from Plenish Cleanse!!

The cold pressed juice went down a treat!

I love this zingy pineapple option!! And could that straw be any cuter????

How delicious does this breakfast look?? Yummy scrambled eggs, spinach, asparagus, mushrooms and vine tomatoes!! Devine!

After a little directing on my part (captured on camera by Miss Salina – thanks for that!!) we took a few promo shots for Bootcamp.

A little more directing (read bossy!) from me and we ended up playing with a little acro!!

Great end to an amazing event!!

Dont forget to pick up your copy of Natasha’s book!

I loved this event so much I will definitely be doing it again so keep your eyes peeled for more info!!

Thanks again to Natasha and Beach Blanket Babylon for having us!!
